Celia named after the singer Celia Cruz is a girl we purchased from our friends in Aguacalientes Mexico, Roy Rojas. Celia is stable in all environments and has good food drive.  We call her our sweet Celia.

In 2021, Celia had an extremely rare vaccine reaction to a vaccine that was supposedly discontinued 20 years ago.  It was the Adenovirus Type 1 vaccine.  Celia developed "canine blue eye" as a result of the vaccine and her right eye had to be removed.  We contacted the vaccine manufacturer who didn't pay for any vet bills despite my regular vet and an eye specialist explaining that this condition was directly from their vaccine.  Typically Adenovirus type 2 is what is currently available.  Both vets said that this reaction is NOT a genetic concern.  Celia has received her annual shots and has never had another reaction.  She also has not had any head shyness due to losing one eye.
